Premo Systems to provide Pacific Energy with a digital Fit for Work assessment tool

Premo Systems is pleased to announce a new agreement to provide PREMFA® assessment services to Pacific Energy Ltd.

As one of Australia’s leading producers of sustainable distributed energy Pacific Energy, through its Contract Power and KPS brands, owns and operates 40 power station facilities around Australia, using multiple fuel technologies that include and integrate gas, diesel, wind, solar and battery storage. Specialist hybrid and renewable energy solutions are provided by Hybrid Systems Australia, Pacific Energy’s integrated renewables subsidiary. CPE Switchboards and MVLV Power Solutions are supporting businesses within the Pacific Energy Group specialising in switchboard and switchrooms manufacturing.

Pacific Energy will be utilising PREMFA® to determine Fit for Work risk scores on each individual worker against specific job profiles, prior to them commencing work with any one of the five companies.

According to Jon Lloyd, Pacific Energy's Group Manager HSEQ & Risk, PREMFA® will save the company both time and money by enabling workers to be employed more efficiently, because the PREMFA® risk assessment will determine whether medical and functional assessments are required or not.

"We expect by using PREMFA® we will better support our onboarding teams as well as make the process smoother, easier and more efficient for our candidates," Jon Lloyd said.

"Plus, PREMFA® provides a baseline health assessment for each worker so we can establish what this baseline looks like from an overall health perspective, and monitor both of these areas over time."

PREMFA® is an easy to use, secure and smart online system which digitally ranks candidates based on their work role requirements and their Fit for Work risk. The PREMFA® algorithm assesses the medical (case history and medications) and physical (functionality) attributes of the potential employee against a specific job profile to generate a Fit for Work risk score, which is then used to determine if further assessments are required.

Premo Systems' CEO Ciemone Rowbottam is delighted Pacific Energy has chosen PREMFA® to provide Fit For Work assessments for their employees.

"We expect Pacific Energy to see a significant change in the time it takes to onboard their work crews across all of their operations, and the onboarding team and candidates will also have an improved user experience,” she said. 

Ms Rowbottam explained that PREMFA® is a cloud based online questionnaire that focuses on the role description and related risk. 

“Our smart algorithm is risk averse so will eliminate the usual practice of sending all candidates for pre-employment medical and functional assessments. PREMFA® can particularly assist with volume recruitment.” she said. 

“The risk assessment report will provide Pacific Energy's HR team with reliable and effective data, and it's likely only 10 per cent of workers will need further physical medical assessments.”
